Helen Kingston is a British screenwriter, writing for film and television. Kingston will co-write an original feature film with William McGregor for Netflix and Matt Reeves’ 6th & Idaho. A project described as a vampire story in the spirit of Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive. Smile follows teenager Millie, whose life is turned upside down when she’s bitten by a vampire while traveling to Los angeles with her school. Wanting nothing more than to be human again, Millie learns she can reverse the process if she is able to kill the man who bit her before the next sunrise.

Kingston's original feature The Flood, starring Lena Heady, Iain Glen and Ivanno Jeremiah was released in UK cinemas by Curzon in 2019. Kingston most recently wrote on upcoming Netflix series The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, executive produced by Andy Serkis. Other projects include the William McGregor thriller Gun Dog, for the BFI and Endor productions.
